about

Having released their first single 'Orpheus' earlier this year under their new collaborative project The Maendas, Ingo Moell (Kabanjak) and David Hanke (Renegades Of Jazz) release their second single 'Lethe'.

Their mutual love of breakbeats and rave music is reflected in both new tracks and is the recurring idea of their music as maenads literally means 'the raving ones.'

While 'Lethe' is introduced by Amir Mofrat's beautiful Kamancheh play which gives the song a Middle Eastern flair; the song soon evolves into a dramatic drum and drama laden anthem with a sweeping synth, cinematic strings and ancient styled vocals.

'Perses' sees its main focus on the drums and comes with a heavy breakbeat-driven uptempo beat construction, garnished with chopped vocals and synths galore again.
